Aroa Genoveva's creative vision of shoes is rooted in a passion for the finest textile materials and craftsmanship, elevating footwear into a differentiating piece with modern and reinvented codes that express a love for textures, details, and relaxed elegance. Silk, linen, jute, cotton, wool, and other fibers, each material is chosen with great care.

Peace Silk is a variety of silk produced with a strong emphasis on ethical and humane practices. In contrast to traditional silk production, where silkworms are boiled alive to extract silk threads, Peace Silk is manufactured without causing harm to the silkworms. The process involves either allowing the silkworms to complete their natural life cycle and emerge from their cocoons on their own or carefully opening the cocoons once the moths have left. As a result, threads are shorter than those obtained through the conventional method, yielding a visual effect reminiscent of wild silk. Appreciating the union of the threads and an exceptional textured effect, rendering the fabric both distinctive and exquisite.

French-Belgian organic linen exemplifies the transformation of natural fibers into a fabric of extraordinary beauty and quality through a process that harmonizes traditional craftsmanship with sustainable innovation. Grown in pesticide-free fields, this fiber signifies purity and ecological responsibility. Artisans meticulously extract and weave the threads, imbuing each step with tradition and excellence. One remarkable aspect of this material is its antibacterial and thermoregulatory properties, which, coupled with its timeless elegance, render French organic linen a sumptuous and captivating textile. The finest linen in the world can be found in the area stretching between Caen, France, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. These regions, blessed with fertile soil and a temperate North Sea climate, offer an ideal balance of sunshine and rainfall.

Natural dye by Aroa Genoveva

Natural colors are derived from plants, animals, and minerals, containing pigments for coloring materials. They present an environmentally friendly substitute for synthetic dyes, in line with sustainability principles by reducing reliance on chemicals and processes. Advantages of natural colors encompass a decreased environmental footprint due to their origin in the natural world. Biodegradability additionally amplifies their appeal as they decompose after usage. Furthermore, the distinctiveness of natural dyes emerges from the diverse color compositions in different plants, resulting in delicate aesthetic variations. Each color obtained in every dyeing process is unique.

Recycled natural fabrics. As part of our responsible luxury strategy, when we are unable to achieve the desired color through natural dyeing, such as black, we turn to unused stock to create new products. Instead of wasting or discarding these unsold fabrics, luxury brands make them available to other houses that repurpose and transform them into fresh creations or products. This may involve refurbishing, reusing, or blending them with other materials to craft something novel and distinct. This aligns with a sustainability and resourcefulness approach, as it diminishes waste and grants unused materials and products a second life. We always select natural materials that meet our requirements for excellence, such as silk, linen and wool.

Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemicals, employing natural and eco-friendly techniques. This approach helps decrease soil and water pollution while encouraging a diverse range of species. Moreover, it consumes less water compared to conventional cotton cultivation. From a social standpoint, it places a strong emphasis on adopting secure agricultural methods that safeguard laborers and uplift the quality of work conditions within farming communities. We use organic cotton in some of the shoelaces and it can also be used in the shoe protective bags.
